Garbage:
A collection service is available by the Cyprus Ports Authority at New Limassol Port.
Tel: +357-25-819200 Fax: +357-25-566374. Skips are provided alongside on request. Collection is carried out daily, usually during working hours and charges vary according to ship’s type. Charges are imposed regardless of actual delivery or not.
At anchorage a boat hired by the CPA visits the vessels on a daily basis to collect garbage at no extra cost to the vessel.
Pollution:
MARPOL and IMO standards; The Fishery department is responsible for sea pollution. The department is capable of taking action against pollution. Port sea waters fairly clean.
